LEAF PICK UP

Residents have the option of contracting with Republic for year-round yard waste pick-up at their own cost. For brush pick up, brush and limbs must be no thicker than 4 inches in diameter, cut to lengths no longer than 4 feet, and tied into approximately 2-foot bundles.

FALL YARD WASTE/LEAF PICKUP:  The Village will once again be covering the cost of fall yard waste and leaf pickup for the months of October, November, and December.  There is no need to sign up for this service this year.  Residents can begin sitting out yard waste on Wednesdays starting October 4th.  Republic Services will automatically pick up, up to 20 bags or cans every week at no extra charge to residents.  Bags and cans of yard waste should be no heavier than 50 pounds each.  Small branches and twigs need to be bundled with string or twine.  This free service will run from October 4 through December 27.

Leaves are not to be raked into drainage ditches or storm gutters. We recognize that this has been the allowed practice for many decades but that practice must stop in order to prevent clogging of the drainage systems. This is one piece of the puzzle to stop water from backing into yards and homes.
